Friday Favorites: Christmas Gift Tags & Printables

For some reason, Christmas really snuck up on me this year...who am I kidding, it does that every year!!  My actual Christmas shopping is done, but the actual get your presents wrapped has not been completed and the mound in my closet needs to be addressed ASAP!!!  Over the past few weeks, I have seen some really cute gifts tags and printables for your presents on Pinterest and some of the blogs I follow.  I wanted to spruce up some of the presents with a pretty tag or two and would like to share some of the ones I found with you all!

I would recommend printing the gift tags on card stock if possible.  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, we plan on making our gingerbread house with the girls and going to a few more neighborhoods to look at Christmas lights!

Friday Favorites

I am still feeling a little under the weather and feeling behind on a lot of things this week...still have my boxes of Christmas decorations calling my name that are stacked in the hallway and kitchen!  A few things did catch my eye this week and the first favorite I have to share with you this week is an absolutely yummy recipe.  Granted, I have never tried these, but they sound so delicious and look so tasty.  I love chocolate covered cherries and these do not disappoint, I mean look at them how could they not be yummy!

Lately, I have been feeling the keeping it simple vibe especially when it comes to decorations.  Here are a couple DIY Christmas decor projects that caught my eye.

Jenna, at SAS Interiors, included this DIY project in a post about everything else Christmas and it includes a lot of really great projects all in one place!!

The girls at Classy Clutter made the cutest jute wrapped letters for Joy!

In addition to trimming the Christmas tree, decorating the house and wrapping presents, it is also the time to prepare your Christmas cards.  Megan, at Honey We're Home created this great DIY holiday card caddy that makes my organizing heart just sing!!

Happy Friday!!!  I am so sorry this post is a little later than planned today, but been in party prep mode.  Today I have few things to wrap up including baking a strawberry cake with white icing and a cherry on top...three cherries to be exact!  I am not sure why she requested that specific cake, but that is what this momma is making!

Cassie also shared a tutorial on how she styles her hair, which always looks so cute!  Although, my hair is typically in a ponytail everyday I secretly wish that one day I can actually get to style my hair.  I would love some soft curls and Cassie walks you through a very simple technique that I hope to one day get to implement!!

This week has flown by for me, and can't believe that we will be celebrating Olivia's third birthday soon and then Thanksgiving shortly after!!  I am a bit behind in my blog reading this week, but I do want to share a few things I managed to come across in the blogging world and Pinterest.

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I have been seeing a lot of crafts to express what we are thankful for.  I just love the simplicity of this thankful tree I saw on Pinterest.  It would be so cute as a centerpiece or on display near the entryway and each family member can write what they are thankful for.

I love me some washi tape and can't get over the cuteness of how Pink Peppermint Design used her washi tape to DIY paper feathers.  I can totally see a project in my future with these and some ModPodge and a canvas!

The beautiful and talented ladies of Classy Clutter are sharing two free printables designed by Courtney at Paperelli.  I will definitely be printing both and can't wait to start decorating for Christmas, but that will wait till after Thanksgiving for me!!

Friday Favorites

Hey there!!  I hope you all have had a wonderful week and wahoo it is finally Friday!!  This has been a crazy week, a week where I honestly don't remember what I did on Monday.  I did come across some good blog post reads that I would love to share with you!

Back in 2008, when Jeremy and I bought our first home, I felt like I had to rush to decorate and paint each room.  Some rooms I jumped right on and made purchases I wasn't completely satisfied with or a paint choice that I want to change now.  Part of it is my style has changed and that is okay, but another big part of it is patience.  I think patience is key when it comes to decorating your home the way you want it.  Carmen, at Our Fifth House spoke the perfect words about the decorating journey and they rang true for me.

Jenna, from SAS Interiors, is definitely a very talented lady and kind of a big deal...her home is totally on the cover of the current Better Homes & Garden Storage issue!!!  She shared a chalkboard wood garland this week and I am totally in love!  Now to find an old log lying around to create my very own.

I absolutely love the simple beauty in how Megan, from Honey We're Home, styled her table for Thanksgiving.  What makes her even more awesome is she is a fellow lover of Target, oh and she is also a Houstonian!!!  

I have been dreaming for a long time about updating our master bedroom.  It is time for something lighter and a place that reflects our style better.  I have been collecting ideas for a while and keeping fingers crossed that 2015 will be the year!!  Until then, I can enjoy some inspiration from Jen at I Heart Organizing and share it with you all!

I am doing a little more branching out this week, but I really wanted to share some of my favorite things from this past week...whether it was a favorite recipe, or a great furniture makeover, or an awesome item I saw at Target!

A blogger I started following a few months ago has become one of my favorite reads and I find her blog posts to be not only instructional, but very budget friendly.  She has been in the process of remodeling her family room and I fell in love with a dresser she painted.  I didn't think I would like a piece of furniture so dark, but I love how a can of paint can be a game changer.  Sarah did an amazing job with this dresser and it has me eyeing a few pieces of furniture in our home.

Nikki, at Chef in Training always has fabulous recipes to share.  I found her blog through Pinterest last year and I have been a regular ever since then.  Take a look at these yummy pumpkin cream cheese rolls with salted caramel frosting...can you say yummy in my tummy!!!

My all time favorite organizing blogger is Jen from I Heart Organizing.  She was the first blog I started following before I even knew what blogs were.  I also found her through Pinterest and have gained so much inspiration from her.  Take a look at how she stores her paint supplies - I just love all the little touches!
